Covered call screener

A covered call sells a call against shares already owned. Screening for one means comparing premiums across strikes and expiries while checking that the contract is liquid enough to trade.

OptionsScreenerPro lists calls with their mark, extrinsic value, moneyness and days to expiry, and hides illiquid contracts by default.

What it shows

  • Call mark and premium per contract
  • Extrinsic value and moneyness
  • Days to expiry and monthly expirations
  • Bid/ask spread and the liquidity filter

How to use it

  1. Open the Options screener and choose calls.
  2. Filter on days to expiry and moneyness.
  3. Sort by premium or extrinsic value and check the spread.

Questions

Does the screener tell me which call to sell?

No. It ranks and filters data; the decision and its risks are yours. Educational information, not investment advice.

Why are some contracts hidden?

The default liquidity filter hides contracts with little open interest or volume, or no bid.

Are the premiums live?

No. Marks come from delayed quotes, labelled as such.
