Options flow screener

Options flow is the premium changing hands in a symbol's options. OptionsScreenerPro estimates it per chain as volume times mark times the contract multiplier, with calls and puts reported separately.

The numbers are gross activity. They show where premium traded, not whether it was bought or sold.

What it shows

  • Money flow per chain, calls and puts
  • Call minus put premium traded
  • Each contract's share of its chain's premium
  • Put/call ratios by volume and open interest

How to use it

  1. Open Reports and choose a money-flow report.
  2. Sort by Money flow (chain) to see the busiest chains.
  3. Open a symbol to see which contracts carried the premium.

Questions

Is call minus put flow bullish?

Not necessarily. It is a difference in premium traded, not buying versus selling, and the product never labels it bullish or bearish.

How is money flow calculated?

Volume x mark x multiplier, summed over the chain. The metric glossary has the exact formula.

How fresh is the flow?

It is built from delayed snapshots during the session; each page shows the delay.
