AI answers: daily allowance and limits
How many AI answers your plan includes each day, what counts against the allowance, the short-term limit that stops bursts, and what you see when AI is paused or not available.
Overview
AI features (the copilot, help questions, written explanations) are part of your plan. Each plan includes a number of AI answers per day. The suggested allowances, pending the owner's final confirmation, are:
| Plan | AI answers per day | AI insights | Watchlist digest | AI on Telegram |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 10 | Yes | No | No |
| Basic | 50 | Yes | No | Yes |
| Pro | 300 | Yes | Yes | Yes |
The day follows US Eastern time: the allowance resets at midnight ET.
AI answers are written by a model from the data shown on the page and in your account, with the data time and its delayed or end-of-day label. They can be wrong or out of date, so check the figures before relying on them.
Before you start
You need to be signed in. Your plan and its limits are on the Billing page in the Account section, and the plans are compared on the pricing page.
Steps
See how many AI answers you have left
- Open the Account section and the usage page (
/account/usage). - The AI line shows how many answers you have used today, how many are left and when the allowance resets.
What counts against the allowance
- A question or request that needs the AI model to write an answer counts as one.
- These never count and are never blocked: answers the app can give from its own data without a model (for example "how many symbols pass my screen"), answers served from the cache, help articles, and reading insights that were already written.
Example
You are on the Free plan and have asked 7 questions that needed the model today. The usage page shows "3 of 10 left today, resets at 12:00 AM ET". Asking "what is the IV rank of XYZ" may still work after your allowance is used, because the app answers it from its own data.
FAQs
Why did I get "please try again in a few minutes"?
Besides the daily allowance there is a short-term limit that stops bursts: for example 30 copilot questions every 5 minutes and 20 help questions every 10 minutes. Wait for the time shown and try again; your daily allowance is not affected.
Why does it say AI is paused or not available?
AI can be unavailable for everyone for a while: an administrator paused it, no AI provider is reachable, or the platform's monthly AI budget is used up. Screens, alerts, reports and data keep working. AI never pretends to answer when it cannot.
Is my question stored?
Each AI call is logged for 30 days so the team can fix problems. E-mail addresses, keys, account numbers, position sizes and amounts are masked before anything is stored, and the stored text is encrypted.
Troubleshooting
My allowance ran out earlier than expected
Only answers written by the model count. Several tabs asking at the same time each count once. The allowance resets at midnight US Eastern time; upgrading your plan raises it straight away.
I still see "AI is not available" after midnight
That message is about the platform, not your allowance. Try again later; your remaining answers are kept.
