Exports and sharing

Download watchlists, saved screens, alert history and screen results as CSV, Excel or PDF, and share a screen or watchlist with a private, expiring link.

Overview

Use Export to download your data as a CSV file, an Excel workbook or a PDF, and Share… to send a screen or a watchlist to someone with a private link. A shared link carries settings only (filters, sort, symbols): never your results, your notes or market data.

Before you start

Downloads need a plan that includes them (the Export menu shows a lock and the reason when yours does not). Sharing is available on every plan, up to 25 active links at a time.

Steps

Download a file

  1. Open Research → Watchlists (or another page with an Export button).
  2. Click Export and choose CSV, Excel (.xlsx) or PDF.
  3. The file downloads as osp-<kind>-<date>-<time>. Large files come back as a short-lived download link instead.

Every file states when it was made, the filters used, how old the market data is, and the disclaimer. The Excel workbook has one sheet per table with a frozen header row and filters, and an About this export sheet. The PDF is a landscape page per screenful of rows, with the header row repeated on every page and the disclaimer and page number in each footer.

Share a watchlist or a screen

  1. Open the row menu (⋮) of the watchlist or saved screen and choose Share….
  2. Pick how long the link works (1 to 90 days), and optionally a view limit and a label only you see.
  3. Click Create link, then copy it. The link is shown once: we store only a fingerprint of it.

Open Account → Account, then the Recent activity tab. Shared links lists every link with its views, copies and expiry. Choose Revoke in the row menu to stop a link at once.

Example

You share Sample covered calls (a screen with delta between 0.2 and 0.3 and DTE between 20 and 45) for 14 days. Your colleague opens the link, sees the filters as chips, and clicks Copy to my screens; the screen appears in their account as Sample covered calls (shared). Their results come from their own plan and data.

FAQs

Why are some columns missing from my download?

Some market-data providers do not allow their data to be redistributed in files. Those columns are left out and the file says which ones and why. You still see them in the app.

Why does my file say it was cut short?

Each download holds at most the platform's row limit (5,000 rows by default). The file states the limit; narrow your filters to get the rest.

Is PDF available?

Yes, from the Export menu. The PDF holds the same rows and notes as the CSV and Excel files; a value too long for its column is cut with "...". The CSV and Excel buttons above screener results download the rows on screen; use Export on a page that has the menu for a PDF.

Troubleshooting

The Export menu shows a lock

Downloads are not in your plan. See Plan & usage or the Pricing page.

The link expired, reached its view limit or was revoked. Ask for a new one.

Copy to my screens fails

You may be at your plan's saved-screen limit, or the shared filters are no longer valid. Free a slot or ask the sender to share again.
