Notification settings, quiet hours and unsubscribing
Choose which messages reach you on e-mail, in-app, browser push and Telegram, set quiet hours and digests, and unsubscribe from optional e-mail in one click.
Overview
Notification settings decide which messages reach you and where: e-mail, the in-app bell, browser push or Telegram. You can pause everything optional with one switch, keep alerts quiet at night, get alerts as an hourly or daily digest instead of one by one, and unsubscribe from any optional e-mail straight from the e-mail itself.
Before you start
- Sign in. Settings are per account.
- Browser push and Telegram need to be connected first; see Browser push notifications and Telegram alerts. A channel the site has not switched on yet is marked Not configured yet on this site.
Steps
- Open Account and choose the Notifications tab.
- Use All optional notifications to pause or resume alerts, digests and product e-mail in one go.
- In What reaches you, and where, switch a channel off for one kind of message (for example alert e-mails off, alert push on).
- In Alert delivery, pick the Default channels for new alerts, then choose How alerts arrive: instantly, as an hourly digest, or as a daily digest at the hour you choose (US Eastern).
- Optionally set Quiet hours from and until, and switch on Push and Telegram only during market hours or No push or Telegram at weekends.
- Click Save changes.
What each setting does
- Always on. Security notices (password changed, new sign-in method, account changes), billing (receipts, failed payments, renewals) and support replies always reach you, even with everything else off. They never carry an unsubscribe link.
- Quiet hours use your account time zone and follow daylight-saving changes. During quiet hours push and Telegram messages wait until the window ends; e-mail is not delayed.
- Market hours only holds push and Telegram messages outside 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET on trading days (market holidays count as closed). Held messages arrive in your next digest.
- Digest mode collects alert notifications and sends one summary per channel. A digest lists new and escalated alerts.
- Alerts notify once per episode. A condition that stays true notifies you once. You hear again only when it escalates, moves materially (10 % by default) or, if the alert asks for it, after its cooldown. See Alerts.
Unsubscribing from an e-mail
Every optional e-mail (alerts, digests, onboarding tips) has an Unsubscribe link in its footer, and mail apps such as Gmail show their own one-click Unsubscribe button for it.
- Click Unsubscribe in the e-mail.
- The page names the kind of e-mail and the address (partly hidden). Click Unsubscribe to confirm.
- To turn it back on, sign in and switch it on again in the Notifications tab.
The link works without signing in, can only switch e-mail off, and expires after 180 days.
Example
Sample trader wants alert push messages during the session only and one e-mail after the close: alert e-mail on, push on, How alerts arrive set to Daily digest at 4:00 PM ET, and Push and Telegram only during market hours switched on. An IV-rank alert on the invented symbol XYZ that triggers at 2:15 PM ET pushes immediately and appears in the 4:00 PM digest e-mail.
FAQs
Why did I get only one message although the condition stayed true all afternoon?
That is the episode rule: one notification per continuous stretch of the condition, plus escalations. It keeps your inbox usable and respects the daily e-mail limit.
Can I unsubscribe from security e-mails?
No. They protect your account. You can turn off everything else.
Troubleshooting
An e-mail never arrived
Check the Notifications tab: if your address bounced or was reported as spam, a red notice explains that e-mail is paused, and alerts reach you in-app, by push or Telegram instead. Also check whether the alert was held by quiet hours or digest mode.
The unsubscribe page says the link is invalid or has expired
Links expire after 180 days or if the e-mail was altered. Sign in and change the setting in the Notifications tab.
Push or Telegram shows "Not configured yet on this site"
The site owner has not switched that channel on yet. E-mail and in-app notifications still work.
